​Janet E. Smith is retired from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI where she held the Father Michael J. McGivney Chair of Life Ethics. She is the author of several books on the topics of the Church’s sexual ethics, homosexuality, and bioethics.

 

Prof Smith has served on several papal commissions. She has received three honorary doctorates and several other awards for scholarship and service.

 

She has appeared on the Geraldo show, Fox Morning News, CNN International, CNN Newsroom, Al Jazeera and has done many shows on EWTN, and other Catholic podcasts.

 

More than two million copies of her talk, “Contraception: Why Not” have been distributed.

 

In her retirement she is helping victims of the priestly sexual abuse crisis, writing on the glories of the Traditional Latin Mass and trying to finish several scholarly projects and enjoying her little house on a lake. A seventh-generation Texan and Notre Dame graduate, Fr. Bart Reynolds has served the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston since his ordination in 1989. He is a seasoned pastor and a champion for Catholic education, notably founding the parochial school at St. Theresa in Sugar Land—now a top-ten national classical school—and leading St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the Archdiocese's largest parish.

Beyond the parish, Fr. Reynolds is a renowned retreat master with over 25 years of experience leading missions from California to Uganda. He has served as a chaplain for the Lay Missionaries of Charity and as a reviewer of catechetical texts for the USCCB. Currently an Adjunct Spiritual Director at St. Mary Seminary, Fr. Bart is a bilingual communicator who balances his deep theological expertise with a heart for his large family of twelve nieces and nephews.
